Outline
This project aims to develop a system for preventing disasters involving humanities-related cultural resources such as documents and books and for rescuing materials that have been damaged.
Objectives
1. Rescuing and preserving humanities-related cultural resources in areas affected by
the Great East Japan Earthquake
2. Mapping the locations of privately held historical materials
3. Providing a structural analysis of the transmission of traditional texts handed down
over the years in Miyagi and southern Iwate
