Outline

  This project aims to examine how the heritage of a culture that has suffered catastrophic damage can be restored for practical use and to explore what role the Inter-University Research Institutes can play in the reconstruction.

Objectives

1. Building a permanent storage system for tangible cultural properties
2. Supporting the preservation of intangible cultural heritage and contributing to society
3. Developing a database for archiving records and memories of damage caused by past    earthquakes and tsunamis
4. Developing a system for cooperation among museums when disasters strike
