Outline

  This project aims to examine how to rebuild local communities by making use of their natural surroundings, in particular the springs in Otsuchi, Iwate.

Objectives

1. Developing disaster prevention systems and evacuation plans appropriate to the characteristics    of local communities
2. Preserving natural environments and using them for industrial development
3. Recording and archiving the history of communities disrupted by disasters
4. Conserving both tangible and intangible cultural properties
