  言語類型論の観点からアイヌ語の意味論・統語論・形態論を研究。
  サンクト・ペテルブルグ大学東洋学部日本語科を最優等で卒業後来日し，北海道大学で博士号 (言語学) を取得。千葉大学，ロンドン大学，ラ・トローブ大学でも研究。

• 講師 : Sean LEE (東京大学 総合文化研究科 博士後期課程)，長谷川 寿一 (東京大学 教授，同大学院 総合文化研究科長)

  長谷川寿一教授は人間行動進化学，行動生態学，進化心理学の分野で国内外の研究をリードする研究者で，Sean Lee (ショーン・リー) 氏は長谷川先生のもとで東京大学総合文化研究科広域科学生命環境科学系博士課程において言語系統の進化を研究されています。
  最近お二人が出された論文 (Lee, S. and Hasegawa, T. (2011). Bayesian phylogenetic analysis supports an agricultural origin of Japonic languages.Proceedings of the Royal Society B.) がアメリカの New York Times で取り上げられ，紙面で John Whitman 客員教授がコメントしました。N.Y.T. オンライン版は次のサイトをご覧ください。
