Call for Papers
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION IS NOW CLOSED.
J/K Abstract Submission
We welcome abstract submissions for 20-minute presentations followed by 10 minutes for discussion. The deadline for abstract submission is May 15, 2016. Authors will be notified in early July.
Contributions to any aspect of Japanese/Korean linguistics, or comparison of these languages with other languages, are welcome.
Authors may be the first or sole author of at most one abstract, and may be a non-first co-author of any number of abstracts.
The research presented in the abstract must be new. Please do not present research that has already been published/presented or is scheduled to be published/presented. Please also make your abstract anonymous, to the extent possible.
The maximum length for an abstract is 2 pages (A4 or US letter size), including tables, figures, and references. Abstract text must be in English, in a 12-point or larger font. Please embed your examples in the main text, rather than putting all of them together on the second page.

J/K Conference Proceedings
As with previous meetings, the proceedings volume will be published by CSLI. The organizing committee members will likely serve as editors. The anticipated deadline for the proceedings volume is February 2017.
Visa Information
The regulations for entering Japan as a visitor differ significantly depending on the country that issued your passport. For many countries, no visa is required to enter Japan as a tourist and stay up to 90 days. However, for many other countries, a visa is required even for a short stay. If you are not sure about whether you need a visa, please contact your nearest Japanese embassy or consulate.
If you do need a visa, you may be required to submit a letter of acceptance stating that your abstract has been accepted for presentation at J/K24. If your abstract is accepted, the conference organizers can send you an official letter of acceptance on request. (Please note that we are not able to send invitation letters, as opposed to letters of acceptance, except to invited speakers.)
You may also be required to document other aspects of your trip to Japan, including transportation and lodging arrangements, in order to obtain a visa. Please understand that all such matters are your own responsibility. The conference organizers cannot do this for you.
