発表概要

札幌方言アクセントの実時間調査～山鼻地区パネル調査から見えてくるもの (その1) ～高野照司 (北星学園大学)

1990年の暮れ，札幌市では入植の歴史がとりわけ古い山鼻地区において，大規模な音声調査が行われた。その当時の音声資料を基に，20年後の個人語の変異や変化の様相を知る目的で，今夏よりパネル調査を実施しており，現在までのところ，10名の被験者から面接による言語資料を得ている。本報告では，先行研究成果 (小野1993)と照らし合わせながら，語彙 (主に1・2・3拍語) アクセントの経年的変異を検証したい。検証にあたっては，特に共通語化への「生涯変化」の可能性 (尾崎1997) や，話者個々人の社会生活やイデオロギーの変化なども視野に入れた「変異の社会性」を議論の焦点としたい。

Synchronic and diachronic changes of preference in the use of frames of reference in contemporary JapanKATAOKA Kuniyoshi (Aichi University)

Based on the Interview data from a longitudinal study of honorific expressions in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture, I propose that, (1) synchronically, frames of reference (FORs) preferred in the community are changing from an Intrinsic (relative/intrinsic) to an Extrinsic (absolute) FOR over the working years, and (2) diachronically, there is a reversed trend that promotes the use of an Intrinsic FOR in the modernized and globalized world, and finally (3) both real time and apparent time studies reveal broader issues related to "perspective-taking" in general. The current findings point to the covert regional/cultural pressure from inside the community (i.e. "Use NSEW as you grow older.") as well as to the overt adaptation to national/global pressure from outside (based on education) in the modern era of Japan (i.e. "Use RLFB in a modern society."), suggesting that a diachronic shift of Japanese space-deixis expressions may be influenced by social/economic changes in the linguistic market ("Use less deictic, context-dependent expressions to make yourself more marketable.")

北海道釧路市における言語変容：札幌・富良野調査との比較から朝日祥之 (国立国語研究所) ，尾崎喜光 (ノートルダム清心女子大学)

本発表では，北海道方言研究会により1989年に北海道釧路市で実施された方言の共通語化に関する調査データを用い，釧路市における言語変容の特徴について考察を行うことを目的とする。考察にあたって，ほぼ同時期に国立国語研究所により富良野市と札幌市で実施された共通語化を中心的な研究課題とする調査データも比較のために一部用いる。北海道内の複数の地点でほぼ同時期に実施された調査データを比較・対照し，言語変容の一般性と特殊性を明らかにすることを目指す。
